AI Readiness Assessment

Know where AI saves your firm time, and where it puts you at risk, before you buy anything.

A two-week, fixed-price review for small firms that handle confidential client information. You get a scorecard, a ranked list of opportunities, and a 30/60/90-day roadmap.

What changes

What changes after the assessment.

Time back

A ranked list of the repetitive tasks worth automating first, so you stop guessing.

Lower risk

You'll know which AI tools your staff already use, what client data goes into them, and what a written policy should cover.

Smarter spending

A short list of questions to ask any AI vendor, so you don't pay for tools you can't use safely.

A plan your team can follow

A 30/60/90-day roadmap and a starter acceptable-use policy.

What the time savings can look like
Illustrative example, not a promise

Say three staff each spend 5 hours a week on repetitive drafting, data entry, or document handling, at a loaded cost of $40 an hour. That's 15 hours a week, about $600 a week, or roughly $31,000 a year. If a safe, well-chosen tool recovers even a quarter of that time, the assessment's $1,500 fee is covered in a few months. Your numbers will differ; the assessment is how we find them.

What's included

Everything you get.

  • Readiness scorecard rating six areas from 1 to 5: workflows, data and systems, security, governance and policy, people, and opportunity
  • Plain-English findings summary: what's working, what's risky, what to fix first
  • Ranked list of AI opportunities, scored on impact, effort and risk
  • 30/60/90-day roadmap
  • Starter AI acceptable-use policy for your staff
  • Short list of questions to ask any AI vendor before you buy
The process

How it works.

01

Intro call

20 minutes, then a 60 to 90 minute discovery call: goals, current workflows, constraints.

02

Review (week 1)

I inventory the AI tools your team already uses, review access and data handling, and look at the systems any automation would connect to.

03

Report and walkthrough (week 2)

A written report, then a call to go through it and answer your questions.

Who it's for

Law firms, CPAs and financial advisors, nonprofits, and other small organizations (roughly 3 to 50 people) that handle confidential client information and are being asked, by staff, clients or competitors, to "use AI."

Pricing
$1,500 fixed fee

This is a founding-client rate for the first three clients, in exchange for a short testimonial and permission to describe the work.

Optional follow-on: implementing the top-priority item from the roadmap, quoted separately.

What it isn't

This is a practical readiness review, not a compliance audit, a certification, or legal advice. For legal or regulatory questions, I flag the issue and recommend your counsel confirm it.

Book a 20-minute intro call.

If it's not a fit, you'll know before spending anything.
