Risk

The chance that a threat exploits a vulnerability and causes harm, usually thought of as likelihood multiplied by impact.

CORE Threat Anything that could cause harm by exploiting a weakness. CORE Vulnerability A weakness a threat could take advantage of. CORE Residual risk The risk still left over after controls have been applied.
